Putting Fundamentals – Back to Basics
Putting can cause immense frustration in both amateurs and professionals alike. In theory, putting is the easiest stroke which we make in golf and it takes place from the closest proximity to the hole!
With the new season well and truly underway, perhaps now is the best time to focus on improving your putting. My "Back to Basics" guide will allow you to focus on the key elements to consistently and accurately stroking putts. Once you master the basics, putting will become much easier and your confidence in your own ability will increase!
Grip – It's your choice!
There are many grip options out there and you may want to experiment with some, however, remember that no matter which way you hold the club, it's vital not to have one dominant hand! Ensure that the palm of your left and right hands are "neutral" to improve your consistency in both pace and direction.
Ball Position – Where should it be?
Ideally, you want to position the ball opposite and just left (as you stand) of the centre of your stance. This will allow you to make a slight upstroke and consistently get the ball rolling towards the hole. Failure to position the ball correctly, can lead to both directional and pace control issues.

Posture – Don't slouch!
Good posture is vital to producing consistent results! Firstly, ensure that you're back is straight and your shoulders relaxed – being hunched over the ball can cause tension in the body. Secondly, ensure that your eyes are directly over the ball - and lastly, be sure to check your alignment.
Alignment – Get on the right track!
Picture yourself standing on a railway track to improve alignment. The ball and club head sit on one line (the ball to target line) with your eyes directly over the ball and on the other, your feet, hips, shoulders and forearms all line up parallel to the ball to target line. This will help you putt with more consistency and accuracy! It's also important to remember that forearm allignment is also key to consistently putting well. Having one dominant forearm will lead to either pushed or pulled strokes.
Using these "Back to Basic" tips, you will be able to practice correctly and "get on the right track" to lowering your scores in 2013!

How Can Innovative Golf Clubs better Your Golf Game
Let's say you want to improve your golf game (who does not), then how do you do it. Many people think the solution will be new, superior golf clubs. Just how much is going to really help, and will we expect the more we pay, the greater the outcomes will be?
To start with, why do a lot of players at once look toward equipment as their initial remedy? Clearly, marketing by the equipment suppliers causing expectations to become dramatically overblown makes us purchase, and we still believe them. Then some people have greater disposable income to throw around to buy toys. But perhaps it is because it really is easier to boost your game by going out and buying what you might imagine is better equipment as opposed to putting in the time practicing. And practicing is going to make a much bigger difference in your game.
It is important to differentiate the reasons pro players look to make changes in their clubs, and the reasons amateurs make changes in theirs. The pros are searching for slight changes with their equipment to permit them to spin the ball better, shape it better or add five additional yards onto their drive. Normal golfers such as most folks will be trying to find forgiveness with a poorly hit shot. Meaning outsized club heads that have a bigger sweet spot are what we are looking for.
Professional players will not be as nervous of the miss-hit shot, or not hitting the sweet spot, but because of their skill level consider feel in the golf shot the factor they're aiming for. As a result, let's say we follow the advice of pros and buy the clubs they suggest, are they thinking of themselves or the poor hacker they are selling to. If clubs work out great for Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson, they are likely to be a disaster for many of us. Plus obviously they cost extra money.

But let's be accurate: the bigger golf clubs assist the mid to high handicap golfer. The drivers will be less difficult to hit, and going with rescue clubs as an alternative to long irons made that phase in the game considerably more efficient. They aren't terrifically costly, and there exists such a wide range of this sort of golf club now that if you're taking time to test a few, you'll find one that fits you like a glove. Thus equipment, if chosen intelligently can make an enormous difference in your golf score.
It has been pointed out that these large golf clubs could also have an adverse result. Once a golfer gets that golf club aided by the big head in their hands, they believe they can swing as hard as they are able and still knock a shot a long way. This leads to poor, wild golf swings, and even with the more forgiving equipment, your game will not improve. It doesn't matter what sort of clubs you utilize, if the swing isn't sound, your game will not be good, either.

The Keys to Ending Up with the Perfect Golf Cart
Finding a golf cart to support your hobby at a budget that's appropriate can be difficult. If you are not too careful, you might end up with a cart that does not run smoothly as you expect it to and spend more money for it than you should have. However, the good news is it is possible to end up with the perfect golf cart at a price that's friendly to your budget. Here's how:
Set a Budget
One of the reasons that many golf cart buyers spend more than they should on a golf cart is that they do not take the time to come up with a budget to stick to. If you start to shop without having an idea how much you should be spending, you will definitely end up with a cart that's a lot pricier than you had initially hoped for. A smart move would be to shop around first to have an idea how much brand new or used golf carts actually cost. This will help you decide on a reasonable budget that you can stick to.
Be Patient While Browsing Around for Options
Patience is key if saving money is your top priority when shopping for a golf cart. Before making a selection, see to it that you take time to shop around. Many buyers make the mistake of going for the first cart they find. As a result, they end up with a golf cart that's pricier and one that does not meet their expectation performance-wise. When you see a golf cart that interests you, don't decide to go for it yet. Instead, shop around more and try to see if there are other better deals. Only return to your first choice once you've made sure it's the best deal available.

Look Into Reviews
Reading reviews online is an excellent way to help you determine which brand or model of golf cart to buy. With all the different golf carts available in the market, it's really difficult to determine which one to opt for. Instead of thinking that you can go for just any brand and model out there, you should realize that not all golf carts are the same, at least in terms of quality of performance. Before purchasing, visit reliable review sites first such as amazon.com and find out what consumers like you are saying about a particular cart you are looking at.
Thoroughly Inspect Cart Before Buying
Finally, make sure you conduct a thorough inspection of the cart you are planning to buy before actually paying for it. This is especially important if you are buying a second-hand cart. Check the windshield, the seat, the horns, the mirrors, the headlights, and the tires. You would want to make sure the seat material is durable and intact and has no tears. You would also want to check the batteries and make sure they are in good condition. The moving parts should be functioning properly and there should be no damage that can in any way affect the performance of the cart.
