G20 Irons 3-9PS, Your Favorite

In 1959, Karsten Solheim started making his own putters in his garage in Redwood City, California. In 1967, because of increasing demand for his putters, he resigned his job at General Electric in order to fully develop the PING Company. Currently, PING produces clubs in every equipment category: drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters.

Ping offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet every golfer's needs and preferences. Selecting the proper shaft flex for your swing will help you get the most distance and accuracy from every shot. Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory.

The ping G20 Irons 3-9PS is the new production of ping. The PING G20 Irons feature a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases MOI. The thinner face of the G20 Iron helps position weight to the toe for added forgiveness. The wider sole provides a higher launch angle. Strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness.

To a large extent, the Ping G20 Irons are very similar to the G15’s, but the former has a slightly wider sole.Different from the G15, the G20 Iron adopts a new soft layer on the back to help with sound, feel and vibrations. The difference is also reflected in the stell shaft, with more evenly spaced steps than the traditional AWT shafts, G20 gives the player another unique and interesting feel.
The Ping G20 irons replace the G15 irons and the 10% thinner face is the same size as the previous model, which enables Ping to move the weight saved into the sole of the club. The G20 has a wider sole than its predecessor, particularly in the toe area, which increases the moment of inertia and forgiveness of the iron. At address the club head sits very well behind the ball, although in some of the longer irons you can see the back of the cavity, which may not appeal to all.
