Adam Scott will get to celebrate his Masters green jacket with fans at his Gold Coast home base after agreeing to play the Australian PGA Championship from November 7-10.
It will be the start of a busy few weeks back in Australia for Scott, who is signed to defend his Australian Masters title at Royal Melbourne the following week and is also widely expected to play the World Cup on the same course a week later, and the Australian Open in December.
The Australian PGA is being played at Royal Pines when it returns to the Gold Coast for the first time since 1975.
"To be able to play at home at Royal Pines is going to be a lot of fun," said Scott.
"All my friends and family will be out there so it's going to be an exciting way to start.
"The Gold Coast has been so supportive of me my whole career so it's a good chance for me to hopefully go out and say thanks to them and play well.
"The PGA is an amazing event - the history of winners there is Australia's finest and I'd certainly like to put my name on that trophy."
A three-time winner on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Scott's best finish in the Australian PGA Championship is tied for 4th in 2011.
The event's Joe Kirkwood Cup boasts the names of past champions including Kel Nagle, Peter Thomson, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros and Greg Norman.
